AllTrails mapped us at 18.6mes and 5424 elevation gain. 9:51 moving time 10:49 elapsed time.
It is a beautiful trail, and the weather was perfect but it is long and the altitude makes it slow going. You can’t see the summit until you are basically on it so it’s hard to have your eye on an unknown prize!
Well worth the effort but start early to make it down before sunset. We were on the trail by 6:15am and had plenty of time to spare, but you just know it’s an a day hike!
