Was first in line at the escort area on the 74; escort wait time added ~30mins to the 2hr drive.

Did a solo hike starting from Devil's slide, second time taking this route as I knew there are shared areas and I love the vegetation that aligns the trail. I was pleasantly surprised that there are wildflowers in bloom. It was a hot day. Due to its location and vegetation along the route, there was a nice breeze in some areas and there are trees to take refuge under even on the mostly exposed sections.

There were 4 people on the summit when I reached it. I didn't run into much people throughout the day so it really felt like a solo hike. I feel safe out there.
