San Jacinto was a challenge beginning with the drive alone. It was long and we had to wait to be escorted on the road. By the time my husband and I got to the parking lot he was feeling the dizziness from elevation. The parking lot was empty and so was the actual trail. There were campers but they were still asleep. We gathered all of our things and began the hike. When we first started I kept hearing buzzing sounds and wondered what bugs were around me then my arm was itching.  A mile in and I had been all bitten up by mosquitoes. I had to take a seat and put bug repellent. Thankfully after that I didn't really need or heard the mosquitoes around me. This hike was especially hard for me be because only my husband and I went up but he started feeling sick. Even threw up until I turn to look at him and his face was bloated. Needless to say he was not able to finish the hike. He offered to go back to the car while I finished the peak. It worked out perfectly for both. I was randomly scared because of the noises but just some woodpekers. At I reached towards the top I expected to see more people but there wasn't I think they were all at work or caught up with other things. The views were phenomenal and definitely an awesome treat!! On the way down I ran into one woman who was on her way up but ay least there was a woman . The whole adventure was fun and liberating mostly because I did it alone!
