Was nervous about this one, 14 miles and 4500 ft gain! I had been training though and was stoked to come out here to see what John Muir was so captivated by at the top of this mountain. I definitely wasn’t disappointed, amazing views at the top from Joshua Tree all the way to the sea. I felt good the whole hike and traveled with a friend who is also an avid hiker. We stopped for a short break and lunch at Little Round Valley before knocking out the last switchbacks and making it to the top. I’ll definitely be coming back!
