Hiked to Santiago Peak via the Harding Truck Trail which originates in Modjeska Canyon.  You can park at the Tucker Wildlife Sanctuary parking area.  This was the perfect kind of weather for this hike.  Overcast and cool.  It is exposed most of the way on fire roads. The views are beautiful and you can see most of Southern California at one point or another.  The bad part of doing the hike from Modjeska that it is a 28 mile round trip.  Took me 11 hours to complete the hike.  Makes for a very long day.
