We got there early. The road was not as rough as the internet made it seem. My 4 Runner could have stayed in 2WD, but had a little fun in 4WD. Parked at the trailhead and made our trek to the peak. Great view to the East…ridges for days! Overall it was a fun and quick hike up and back. Met the “Super Twin Hikers” on the trail. Adorable 6 year old who have done more hiking in their short lived than I have in my 50 YEARS of age – lol

  1. Hi! Where did you park/what did use as the trailhead? I hiked this trail many times many years ago, but the Maple Springs Gate was never open and you had to start by the fire station. I can’t picture where there is any place to park up the trail.
