Intermittent snow – not hard to cross

Hiked up to Sawmill from the Nordic Center.  Trail covered with hard snow/ice for most of the way.  Microspikes on for most of the trip.  Some deeper snow if you got off trail.  Carried snowshoes but did not use them. Since you go right by it we also stopped at Pinos.  Cold and windy at the top.  The GPS wanted to send us up a dirt forest road so pay attention to the directions on the trip description.
