This was a gorgeous hike! We've hiked Mt. San Jacinto several times, but never from this trailhead. Since the tram was closed due to COVID-19, we thought we'd try a new route… but MAN is it HARD!!! I'm not a “one and done” type person… but that's all I could say after this one… but now that some time has passed… I'm ready to try it again!  But don't tell my hiking buddy that… she'll kill me!  😉
