We tent camped at Lost Dutchman State Park so we could get an early start on our hike, good thing as it peaked out at 100 degrees today!

The trail starts out pretty gradually and is obvious but it gets more challenging to stay on/find the trail. We went by trying to recognize the landscape & vistas in previously posted photos and had a great hike. Wish I would have thought to open All Trails and use the app to stay on the trail, will definitely do that next time! The app is free & has kept me on the right trail on other occasions. If you don't have it, you might want to download it for this hike.

Bugs weren't bad but we did hear & see a rattlesnake. Luckily he gave us a warning & we stepped back. We respected that it is his home after all!
