What a great way to start the challenge. Went with the closest first… just to warm up.
Lovely start just before 7am and had the tail mostly to myself. It wad clear and gorgeous up top with a splendid view of Catalina as my coffee backdrop.
It was chilly in Bear gulch with a bit of frost but otherwise very comfortable. And the trail wad still cool enough that the mud wasn't a problem at all. Might get a little stickier as the day warms up.
Great little hike. Ready for the next. If you're in the area, totally recommend this one!
