We started about 6am. Hike was nice. Lots of horse poop at the beginning. Lots of bushes making some areas really narrow to hike. Also the scrambling at end was insane I felt like I was on all fours for a while. There were two guys at peak when we arrived so we waited for them to leave to take pics and have lunch. One of the best views. So green and beautiful. That Valley was gorgeous. And opposite of the valley cloud coverage. The best of two worlds. I can’t imagine what it must have looked like during the poppy bloom. We took pics and headed down. Encountered people going up as we hiked down. Even though it was a later hike start than strawberry the temp was better. Didn’t really start feeling the heat until maybe the last 2 miles to the car. Motorcycle noise heaven here too. Oh and my hiking partner saw a naked hiker in front of her who later showed in the trail with clothes. I’m glad I was behind her and didn’t see that????
