No snow on this trail. The hills were incredibly lush. The vegetation alongside the trail was of the drier kind, so I would recommend long clothing to avoid scratches from stray branches. Near the trailhead, there were also warnings of mountain lions, rattlesnakes, and poison oak. The trail had a steady ascent until the last half mile or so. Before the hike, I had read a review where someone had accurately described the last bit as a “mountain goat trail”. It was incredibly steep with deep trenching.
GPS tracking for locating the correct trail path is recommended.
