Got to the parking lot around 7:15am. There were plenty of spaces left. Made a quick bathroom stop before ascending the hike. Most of the hike was very moderate and easy to follow (mostly right turns at the junctions going up). Once we hit the last trail marker up it started to get narrower and steeper. This part of the hike was difficult. Got to the peak around 9:30am and there were only a couple of other people there. Stayed for a quick snack and headed back down. By this time there were a lot more people coming up. I'd say we had beat the crowds. Also, the weather on this day was perfect for the hiking – mid to high 60's.
