Day was overcast and cool and we came across several groups of people, however the trail never crowded. The rain from the day before left the ground somewhat damp, but there was very little mud. There was a lot of horse manure and lots of wild animal scat all along the trail. The view was a little obscured with the clouds, but all in all it was an awesome hike and a great way to kick off the 2020 6 Pack Challenge!
PS the Ortega Oaks Candy Store is a great treat to have after the hike.
