Hike was fantastic! A little muddy/wet but overall it was great. We started pretty late (9am-ish) because this is a fairly local hike for us. We were also trying to wait out the rain which was supposed to stop at 10am but ended up being cleared from the forecast the morning of. Long pants definitely help due to some overgrown vegetation towards the top portion of the hike.

During the government shutdown, the Adventure Pass is not needed. Please note: the restrooms in the parking lot are CLOSED. bring your own toilet paper, shovel and most importantly, a bag to pack out trash and waste. Please be kind to our National Parks and Forests during this time. Leave no trace!
