I arrived at the parking lot at 6:00 to find only two other cars. The first hour on the trail I didn't see anyone but could hear voice behind me. The trail had alot of poop on it but throughout the day I only saw 3 dogs, silly mountain lions doing their thing. When I got to the top there were a couple of people and we had some nice conversation while taking pics and eating. The last half mile or so of the climb up is a butt burner. Steep but fun. I twisted my knee as I was beginning my hike down and it made for a long and painful couple of hours. People saw me struggling and everyone stopped to see if they could help. I truly appreciate the hiking community for looking after each other. The morning was foggy and overcast but the early afternoon was clear and beautiful. It really was a great hike, pain and all. Can't wait to do it again.
