This was a difficult hike. We parked at 8:30am and started hiking shortly after. We went clockwise around the Sizer loop and it really has some serious ups and downs. The “shortcut” almost killed me. My ADHD brain told my body “Nope” about halfway up and I struggled to make it to the top, but I did! Thankfully I have a very patient hiking buddy. 🙂

The weather was almost too warm for my hiking pants and I definitely packed plenty of water and snacks. The entire trail had wildflowers blooming, quail and turkeys roaming and excellent shade for when we needed to cool down. I loved the bathrooms along the trail.
