Started at 6 AM at Coe Headquarters for a nice early (and cold) beginning.  At frog lake camp I missed my intended right turn and went around Hobbs Road instead of going down to the lake. Not sure that added too much time/distance.  Uneventful on the way up “the shortcut”, but certainly slow going up to about 3000 feet. Reached the peak after 2 hours of hiking. Downhill was no trouble although I did slip on some loose gravel at one point. Prior to Poverty Flat, I turned off and took the Creekside trail so I could head up to Manzanita point via the China Hole trail.  From there it was a straight shot back to headquarters. Full loop was just under 5 hours and I was home in time for lunch.
