It would be difficult to accurately describe how badly this hike hurt me. Ears were ringing. Nausea was ravaging. Water was scarce. This hike was far and away the most difficult day this week.

My dad and I struggled for 8 hours and 15 minutes. As a challenge we hiked Shortcut without taking any breaks.  My dad said it was the hardest thing he’s ever done. He's a tough guy so that was a big deal. Long story short, it hurt. This hike felt like an accomplishment.

We limped over the finish line but we made it.

6 days. 6 peaks. I’m proud of myself.
