Packed the microspikes to attempt Ontario Peak after the first snow fall earlier this week. The presence of fall foliage was a pleasant surprise. The trail is gorgeous with the snow. No slips with use of microspikes and trekking poles. Trail to Ontario from Saddle Junction was visible and easy to follow. First time taking the trail, it was a beautiful winter scene with the snow on all the vegetation. Summited before noon and enjoyed the peak and the views in solitude with hiking companion.
