Trail snow-covered at times – Gear and expertise recommended

Bring your Micro Spikes, trekking poles, and get ready to have fun in the snow. If you think you will be moving fast, think again. This hike will take patience and time because at times you will be stepping into a few feet of snow. It was cold outside and a little windy so dress appropriately. There are many false peaks so don’t get too excited when you see the first “peak” or the next one and so forth. When you reach the peak, pick up the 20 pound sign and take some photos, especially next to the knarly old tree. Be kind and don’t over spend your welcome. There is not much room so when you take your pictures, kindly exit the way you came. It was a little annoying when a group of 10-20 people crowd the area.
