Trail snow-covered at times – Gear and expertise recommended

Took on Baden-Powell on Saturday (5/25).  It's a beautiful hike, well-worth the hard work and steady incline.  Starting hitting snow patches about half way up.  The final mile to the summit is all snow, but passable (micro-spikes and poles/axe recommended).  The snow becomes more treacherous on the way down. The melting snow and hardened ice make for slippery conditions. While spikes/poles are recommended on the way up, I'd say that they are necessary to get back down safely!
