Was planning on hiking Mt Tam to complete the challenge, but forecast called for about two inches of snow overnight and I couldn’t pass up the opportunity!  Got to the trailhead a little before 630, just as the sun was peaking over the horizon. I was the first one there and had the whole mountain to myself!  By about the 2 mile mark I started seeing small patches of snow in the shadows and under trees.  By the 3 mile mark it was everywhere.  By the time I reached the summit I was tracking in snow 1-2 inches deep. By the time I was heading down there were people coming up and the lot was mostly full by the time I got back to my car, just before 1030.  It was still in the 40s when I finished, low 30s at the top, but since there was no wind, it was very pleasant!  This is my new most favoritest hike of the year and was well worth the two hour drive! Mt Tam, I’ll make it up to you next week!????
