I’ve always dreamed of summiting Mt San Jacinto…but i never imagined it would be in the snow! Wow, such a challenging climb! I can truly say that this was the most beautiful hike I’ve ever done.  Such a snowy winter wonderland ☺️ I’m not experienced at all with hiking in the snow, but this required micro spikes pretty much the entire hike, which were lifesaving! There was snow on the majority of the 12.37 logged miles we did. The scenery all around was amazing, from the redwoods, to the large snow-covered boulders, the snowy mountain ranges in the distance- all of this was an experience that I will never forget. We climbed over some treacherous boulders to say that we reached the 10,834 ft summit, but really couldn’t spend much time enjoying the views due to the 50+ MPH winds that practically blew us over and chilled us to the core! We were able to take some quick celebratory pics at the top and began our long descent back down. What an awesome day!
