Snowfields to cross – could be difficult

Started on lookout on 2/6. They were plowing it, so took azalea spring fire road to get away from the plows and on a quiet snowy trial. Intersected with azalea glen and   I wish had started in azalea glen for all the snow and young pines. Beautiful. Got to the peak and the plows had made it there too. Took the paved road down, which was beautiful and now snow free as my legs were a bit tired from the fun snow trek on azalea. Not a huge fan of hiking on pavement for too look so tried to veer off and explore some of the side trials but many were closed. Sobering to think of the 2003 fire that swept through this area, but beautiful to see all the young pines.
