The last time I hiked this was 20 years ago. This a a very steep and difficult hike, especially the last 2 miles, which is a scramble up the scree. Poles, sunscreen, lots of water, strong knees and good hiking boots are a must! The views from the top are amazing, so take your time at the summit to take it all in. And plan plenty of time to get down, as a safe descent isn’t fast. Beautiful day, not a lot of wind and no mosquitoes.
