Went up Sunday late afternoon to camp on top. Smoke increased in the afternoon but woke up to some amazing views before the smoke from the Nash fire which started overnight during rain and lightning storm.

    Nice pictures you have there. Oregon is beautiful. I leave in SoCal I booked a cabin to hike all six peaks in one week in September. Camping sounds interesting. are there enough spaces around to camp there? thanks

      The caldera is quite large and there are a number of rock windscreens setup around it. You would probably have little problem finding a spot to camp, but it will be cold, and likely windy as heck. It might also be damp, if the peak is in the clouds.
