Due to time constraints I decided not to do my initial plan to hike Pinos, Sawmill and Grouse like last year but to do only Mount Pinos instead. Because Pinos is a four-mile round trip hike at most I decided to speed hike this one in order to stay in the spirit of the challenge. This one I would try to hike and see if I could finish it in less than two hours. The weather was good, the fire road/trail was easy and I was only competing with myself. I managed to do two miles in forty-minutes from the parking lot to the summit which meant I met my initial goal of doing two miles in less than one hour. I took pictures at the summit and then headed back. The trip back was faster due to  being downhill and I reached the parking lot in twenty five minutes.  Not bad for a speed hike which taken into account the breaks I took, was a total of 1 hour and 20 minutes round trip.  Hope I can go back this year before the snow falls and do Pinos, Sawmill and Grouse in one hike.
