Today was a gorgeous day for a hike. It was like a Disney movie in that we saw wild foxes (3), coyotes (2), geckos (dozens), neon blue dragonflies (some), tons of surrounding spiderwebs in the morning few and a very friendly volunteer fire watcher at the East Peak Tower.

We ate our lunch at the East Peak around 10:15 after departing Stinson at 7:40am. We emerged from the Matt Davis trail back to our car by 1:30.

Jason and I are completing this challenge together and this was the first of the six peaks we will do. We did the Everest Base Camp loop in April 2018 and spent about 11 months training, so we love a good challenge overall. This sounds perfect for us.

We have hiked parts of Mt Tam but we have never done all of this at once. Loved the trail combination selection. A good one to start because it never gets too difficult.

We started in heavy fog and quickly broke from the fog layer and into the hot sun. Bring hats and gloves and tank tops and SPF.

More to come!
