The trail was very well maintained and easy to follow. It was steep with a mild incline shortly after starting. The incline became more steep and more challenging in the 1st mile. The beautiful surroundings were enhanced by me seeing a deer in the middle of some tall trees near the start of the trail. The steps created by rocks and an actual “stairway “ made the trail fun and definitely a great workout! I had to stop several times to catch my breath, but it was worth it to stop and enjoy the different views while at different elevations. I loved the switchback type of trail! It was so fun! The flowers along the way added color and more beauty to the trail! Another highlight were the aspens that are growing by the trail.  I loved this trail and will be up again soon!
