I did this peak in 2021, and it totally kicked my butt (heat exhaustion!). This year was a totally different experience! I wanted to hike from the Mitchell Canyon side again, and I also wanted to camp as this is a bit of a drive for me. Unfortunately, there are no campgrounds on that side of the park, so I had to hike from the opposite direction. I stayed at the Live Oak campground in Rock City and hiked from Curry Point. The trail was pretty steady all the way up and back. Lots of bikes and Boy Scouts out on a Saturday. Wildflowers are starting to pop out but are not yet in full bloom.

I really want to go from the Mitchell Canyon side again, so I guess I'll have to come back next year!
