The big highlight of this hike was seeing the beginning of spring coming into bloom. The trail itself was not difficult except for the gravel being a bit loose so be sure to wear good treaded boots or hiking shoes. The cactus and the wildflowers were just starting to bloom so this was enjoyable to spend the day watching this. We took an extra gallon of water and stashed it about a mile in so we would be sure to have water for the last mile back. We did need it, so I was glad we did that. Signage was clear that the info from the Challenge site was spot on.
