The day was beautiful, perfect weather for this hike. Started at 8am and ended just after 1pm. I took my time as the climb begun. Strawberry Peak kicked my A@@! but didn't know me out. The mountain definitely took care of me. It was so beautiful and worth the experience and challenge. The trail is rocky with rough terrain. The trail is narrow for the first 2 miles. As you approach the start of the peaks, the trail becomes wider but sandy and lots of rock climbing.

There are a few false peaks…stay the course. Take lots of water, snacks/food, poles, wear hiking shoes, sunscreen, and stay determined to conquer.

Through the pain and tears, I made it! This was truly a test and spiritual experience for me. Hats off to ALL you HIKERS out there!! I am ready for my next challenge.

One time I dragged one of my kids on a hike to a place called Donut Falls and rewarded her with a real donut when we got there ????
