First peak of the So. Cal Six Pack and surprised to be starting the challenge so late in 2019.  At this time last year, I had already completed (4) of the Six Pack, while the snow this year has moved me to go after other hikes I haven’t done.

Non the less, the hike was a clear day, loved all the active streams that were flowing heavily, and always love the class 2 scrambled up to the top.  There was what seemed like a party of the summit and we decided to hike down to Redbox Canyon Trail and then loop back to Strawberry meadow.  We came across a horned lizard as we made the loop and actually extended the hike a few more miles.  All in all, the hike was a little over 12 miles and was nice to get the first peak for 2018 out of the way.  Now onto the next hike!
