The morning was nice and cool because there was thick cloud cover we drove through to get to the trailhead. The hike is deceiving more than a few times. There are many false peaks and you are constantly going up and down, up and down. There was red fire ants everywhere you stepped and quite a few bees buzzing once it got warmer during the rest of the morning. Once you got to the top there was beautiful butterflies everywhere. That was great. Coming back down there was several workers we had to pass by as they were trimming the yuccas and fixing up the trail.
