This was a good butt kicking. The first 2 miles wander and gain elevation slowly. The last 1.25 miles is intense. Lots of loose gravel, big step ups and pulling yourself up steep inclines. You will feel your quads and hamstrings. There are a couple false peaks before you actually summit. The summit is small and has very little shade. There are a ton of really great views both on the trail and at the summit. There is little cover on the trail so plan for hot sun and no water sources. Pack as much water as you think you need then throw in some more.
