We hiked the 7.5 mile-roundtrip trail to Strawberry Peak in just under 4 hours.  Very moderate first 2-3 miles until the “scramble” or steep ascent with scree to the top.  Our 1-year old daughter Kalea loved it, and thankful my husband Rob didn't have any issues carrying her on that final stretch.

Saw lots of lizards and a desert hue of succulents, trees and late summer foliage.  Plenty of panoramic views the whole way.

At the summit, there were THREE different summit signs to choose from, plus two metal boxes with trail notes, writings and markers.  It took us awhile to find a blank piece of paper, so you could bring a small notebook if you think of it!

Overall, would recommend for the scenic vistas, gradual climb (until the end) and the name.  Who doesn't like the idea of hiking an upside down strawberry?

Tip: Find a way to hike on a weekday and you'll rarely see other hikers.  We didn't see a single other person on a Friday.
