It was a cold brisk day, unfortunately search and rescue helicopter was parked in the parking lot because a hiker went missing the night before which kind of put a damper on things. I was not mentally prepared to discover a body but we all yelled for his name every few feet, we even ran into the search and rescue with their bloodhound ox on the way up the mountain. It was a relatively straightforward hike, lots of rock scrambling and a hell of a lot easier than in the summer when I got attacked by Yucca and stung by a hornet, I now will only hike this trail in the winter
