Strawberry Peak is Forever

Redbox Canyon

Day hike

Trail Conditions:

Trail in good condition

ROAD:

Road suitable for all vehicles

Bugs:

No bugs

Snow:

Intermittent snow – not hard to cross

Started the hike about 6:45 am with a beautiful sunrise.  The first 2 miles was fairly moderate and had the mountain blocking out the wind.  There was some patches of icy snow but nothing unmanageable.  Then at the fork the hike gets more intense with some light scrambling and cold winds.  This part seems to stretch on with the appearance of glade peaks, but each brings such stunning views you can take a breather at the top of each.  At the end there are some cute signs to take a picture with.  There was a cute couple drinking coffee at the top that had me super jealous so I may have to do that for all my future peaks.
