First time hike on this trail, nice and challenging ascent to start off the hike continuing pretty much all the way through to the plateau at the top. Beautiful scenery, some nice tree coverage, and outstanding views at the top. Mid-may, mid-morning, and cool temperatures, not overly crowded=very enjoyable hike with plenty of green and some wild flowers.
