Finally the trails were opening up!
Did I bring fresh strawberries to eat at the peak? Heck no!
Instead, I had a Wild Strawberry Crystal Light drink mix on the drive, I had a Whipped Strawberry Rockstar right before hiking (which had more sugar in the can than I normally consume in a week or maybe even a month), I had a Wild Berry PowerCrunch bar for pre-hike fuel, and I brought some Strawberry-Infused Vodka to sip on at the summit! I also had backup energy drinks of a Kiwi Strawberry Rockstar and a Tangerine-Mango-Guava-Strawberry Rockstar, but didn't end up needing either of those.
Enoyable hike overall; I initially went the wrong way at the saddle, following a different and wrong trail guide, figured out my mistake when I kept going down instead of up- smart cookie right here. I heard about a rock scramble near the summit, and kept waiting for it as I kept hiking, but I guess I just went over/through it because I was at the sign and register before I knew it!
