Went up Baldy Notch, then turned on Devil's Backbone to reach the summit and descended via Ski Hut. Started the hike around 6:45am, encountered less than 20 people on the trail on the way up. Climbed to reach heights above the clouds. Periodically looked back to see the views from the other end and to see what I had trekked, view of the backbone is gorgeous. The cool and overcast weather made the hike a lot easier than when trekking it in warm, sunny days. A bit of wind at the top. During the descent, clouds rolled in to cover the summit. It looked like winter without the snow. Fall colored foliage reminds one that it is fall. It was a beautiful day for this hike.
