Holy switchbacks! The good news is that the straight switchbacks to the top mean the climb is gradual. The bad news is, honestly, who likes switchbacks??? Otherwise, this is a pretty manageable hike and the intermittent tree cover made it doable even on a hot day. We arrived at 7:45AM and there were barely any cars in the parking lot. We exited the trail a little after noon and the entire parking lot and overflow parking was full. I guess people were starting late? This is definitely a fun one and I would do it again.
