Early start at 3:20 am to make the sunrise at 6:08 am. Made it to the summit at 5:40 with plenty of time to enjoy the views and relax after pushing hard to ensure we didn't miss the sunrise. It was colder than expected at the summit, but probably a combination of hard sweating and high winds.  The winds atop were probably blowing 15-20 mph which was different than what mountainforcast.com predicted for the morning. This is my third time going up this trail and it has not gotten any easier! Tough trail with constant elevation gain. We started to run into a lot of traffic from hikers heading up while we headed back to the trailhead causing our descent to take almost 2 hrs.
