Hike Log

Sunset Moon

Trailhead:

Vivian Creek

Type of Hike:

Overnight

Trail Conditions:

Trail in good condition

ROAD:

Road suitable for all vehicles

Bugs:

Bugs were not too bad

Snow:

Intermittent snow – not hard to cross

We made it to the summit just in time to witness a beautiful sunset to the west and the most enormous full moon rising in the east. I’ve never seen anything like it. We stayed overnight at the summit and then tackled the down hill the next morning. We took our time so we could take it all in and it was well worth the time, work, and experience.
