Pretty strenuous hike since it is my first time to hike carrying a 40lb backpack. Thought I was not going to make it but my persistence paid off. Needed to stop multiple times especially in the last mile. The last part of the trail is steep and needed to be very careful due to gravel. Having a trekking pole is very helpful. The weather is warm and cool breeze. There were 5 wild goats at the summit which is a bonus but the view of the sunset was spectacular. The night was cold because of the wind blowing. Got up at 5am and disassembled my tent drank my coffee and enjoyed sunrise. Started to descend at 6:30 and come across about 100 on their way up. Another Bucket list complete.
