Mother Nature is in full bloom despite the devastation left behind from the PG & E Tubbs Fire.  Took on Mount Saint Helena today whilst remembering those who risk it all so that we can wander freely.  Walking amongst the burnt timbers and charred landscape an abundance of wildflowers are in full bloom. Surreal.  If the climb doesn't get you,  the views will certainly take your breath away.

For this State Park don't be looking for any grand entrance station or rangers to greet you, one small sign announces your ‘entrance' to Robert Louis Stevenson State Park.  Grab a parking spot and then run like you're in a live game of frogger to get across the street to the trailhead.  Poor trail marking, not sure if this is a result of the fire or just the way it is.  Be sure to empty the bladder and fill your water before heading up the winding road to hike this trail as there are no facilities in this State Park.

A beautiful hike, with outstanding views…once at the top, keep going, yep, summit is that far peak!
