Intermittent snow – not hard to cross

We started our hike at 6:30 a.m. with headlamps.  The trail had snow most of the way up and was a chilly 30 degrees.  We watched the beautiful sunrise as we made our trek up to the summit.  The views were awesome on this clear day, Mount Jefferson, Hood, Adams and overlooking the Painted Hills.  As we made our descent, the day was warming up nicely, but turned the snow into mud our shoes were deep in it!   Gaia GPS tracked our hike at 8.20 miles.
