Intermittent snow – not hard to cross

It was my first time hiking with our local, Central Oregon Six-Pack of Peaks group.  It was also my first peak of 2023.  My dog, Daisy and I had a great time and enjoyed the company.  I think Daisy got really tired of being herded by the token trail dog, Patches.  It was pretty funny to watch though.  The trail conditions were very muddy…meaning it was like you were wearing (2) boots on each foot.  My boots were covered in mud.  The worse I'd ever seen.  Daisy was one filthy pup too.  I think everyone agreed this hike would be best done in the summer or fall, or when the ground was completely frozen.  It still felt great to get out though and see an area that I'd never been to before.
