Today, we hiked our sixth hike of the Central Oregon challenge, Sutton Mountain. Jeff's review of the Sutton Mountain hike provided constructive tips to navigate this trail. We used coordinates to find the trailhead and would have missed the gate otherwise. The trail follows the old jeep road almost up to the summit. AllTrail app would lead you past the summit, so advising the map to turn left to hike to the summit through the grass is important. Watch your steps, we saw two snakes. Once you reach the ridge, walk along until you see the survey mark. Views are awesome!!! The trail was in good condition, with no mud, sometimes rocky. On the way back before reaching parking, we were greeted by a friendly dog. It took us about 3.5 hours to complete the hike.
